We make a big production out of it. We introduce the staff and thank them for their hard work, then we have the big "unveiling" of the book. Students then line up to get their book and they all sit around signing each other's books.
It was so funny the very first year we had a yearbook. Since most of these students had never had a yearbook before, they didn't know what to do. Many of them asked, "What do you mean by 'signing' the yearbooks?" That first year, most books just had pages of autographs.
Now our students have mastered the art of yearbook signing. Our children's books have wonderful notes from their friends, remembering special times they had together and telling them how much their friendship has meant. This is part of what makes a yearbook so special!
